Grow will be unavailable for approximately one hour on Thursday 23 August, between 8am and 10am, while it is upgraded. When you log in after the upgrade it will look different, but rest assured, it still works in much the same way.
There are a few things you need to know before you log in:
- Most things have stayed the same:
- Your username and password are the same.
- The address (www.grow.nzsti.org.nz) is the same.
- Your course progress, submission and grades remain unchanged.
- But some things have changed - see the attached image for further explanation:
- The colours, fonts and style have changed to be more modern and easier to read.
- The information blocks that were on the left side of the window, such as 'My progress' you tutor details and the link to the NZSTI library catalogue are now on the right side.
- When you log in you will be taken to your Dashboard.
- This shows the public latest announcements, each course you are enrolled in, and your progress in each.
- If you see the words "No upcoming activity" in the 'Course overview area', click on the word "Courses" (C in the image) next to the word "Timeline". This will show you all courses that you're currently enrolled in.
- You can click on the title of each course to go to the course page (D in the image).
- If you need to access the main navigation menu at any stage, click the grey square with three horizontal lines in the top left corner of the window (A in the image). This works on any page. Click it again to hide the navigation menu.
- To view your grades, edit your profile or log out, click on your name or profile image in the top right corner of the window (B in the image).
An updated version of the Grow Introduction video will be posted to the Grow homepage on Friday 24 August to demonstrate the new-look Grow.
